Independent Chair & Clinical Advisor (Department of Health & Social Care/National ICBs) 

  • Specialist chair and clinical advisor to reach judgements and seek credible assurance of individuals in high profile settings. Focus of inpatient care towards people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and forensic settings

  • Lead Care, Education and Treatment Review panels including Experts by Experience and CQC to develop key lines of enquiry action plans. Supporting teams and commissioners to meet national discharge targets and navigate complex issues with Ministry of Justice, Court of Protection and housing providers. 

 

MDT Mentor to Royal College of Psychiatrists (Royal College of Psychiatrists/Health Education England)

  • Nursing mentor supporting national Autism Training Programme. Mentor to 2 cohorts of 1350 Psychiatrists 

  • RCP & Health Education England training programme enhancing skills and knowledge in autism in mental health setting

 

Sec 117 Complex Case Quality & Value for Money Review (Lancashire & South Cumbria ICB)

  • Project clinical lead on review of funded care process for ICB region, alongside individual high cost packages of care

  • Development of commissioned pathways, service specifications and thresholds for funding decisions.  

 

Inpatient Reconfiguration (Lancashire & South Cumbria Region)

  • Project management of high quality, person centred mental health inpatient facility modernisation programme. Remodelling from 790 to 518 inpatient bed stock. Proposals with Gateway approvals process with the Cabinet Office

 

Tutor for Level 5 Diploma (BILD/Restraint Reduction Network)

  • Associate tutor with International organisation for learners studying Practice Leadership in Restrictive Practice

  • Support learners to deliver credible and tangible system and individual impact in their setting

 

Service improvement & financial efficiency project (Warrington Borough Council)

  • Evaluation of process of appeals & Ombudsman tribunals. Delivery of bespoke dashboard on school transport analysis. Board recommendations to address mounting tide of costs & distances to meet complex need in SEND transport.

 

Independent Quality & Safety Review (NHS Herefordshire & Worcestershire ICB)

  • Conducting an independent review on the commissioning arrangements, safeguarding and oversight of the care for commissioned care out of area. Scope and timeline of the review spanned 2 years. 

 

Rapid COVID saliva testing Laboratory development  (Lancashire & South Cumbria Pathology Collaborative) 

  • Innovative National pioneer supporting 6 NHS Trust workforce with asymptomatic LAMP 

  • Project managed the collaboration of NHS, University, Scientific community, Military logistics, UK Health & Safety Agency to build a new laboratory and enable state-of-the-art COVID testing to the frontline NHS workforce
